DEFI LAND
DeFi Land is a multi-chain agriculture-simulation game created to gamify Decentralized Finance.
The Defi Land team has been invariably hitting milestones on their project development and roadmap. In this article, I will give a recap of the major milestones listed on Defi Land’s documentation.
Demo game
Defi Land platform released a demo version of the game on the 16th of September, 2021 for testers to test run and have an experience of the product before mainnet. The anticipation among the community members after seeing the sneak peek of the gamified platform three days before the release was insane.
Solana Season Hackathon winners
In the 2021 Solana Hackathon event, the community support for the project was insane and Defi Land came as the first runner-up in the Defi Track category which $10,000 being rewarded to the project. Review the Solana hackathon winners for 2021 below.
Fundraising round completed
Defi Land raised over $4.1 million from over 40 investors to launch the gamified platform. Some of the big names on the list include Animoca Brands, Alameda Research, Jump Capital, NGC Ventures, Solana Foundation, Gate.io, and other ‘big boys’ in blockchain venture capital.
Public sale executed
In the $DFL tokenomics, 1% of the total supply was used for public sale. Unlike the seed sale tokens that are vested, the public sale tokens weren’t. Raydium, Gate.io, and Solanium were used for $DFL public sale with the price of $0.005 per token. The public sale was concluded with 0.7% sold on Raydium, 0.1% on Gate.io, and 0.2% on Solanium.

Mainnet private and public beta testing
The mainnet private beta testing ended on December 22nd at 12 PM UTC while the mainnet public beta, available for everyone with no requirement(s), launched at 4 PM UTC the same day. For the stats for the private testing, the app had over 1,000 daily active users, and 3,000 verified accounts with over 4575 wallets connected. On 25th March, they announced 100k wallets connected.
The results at the end of public beta testing will definitely see much higher numbers. More details about the public testing are in the article below.
NFT profile integrations
The social media company, Twitter, announced that you now can showcase an NFT that you own as your profile picture on Twitter — as long as you have Twitter Blue. On Defi Land, you can showcase your Defi Land NFT by making it your profile picture. This is a relatively new development that’s yet to be adopted by many platforms in the Defi ecosystem. Speaking about Defi land NFTs, there’s a lot to Defi Land’s Gen-0 NFTs than you think.
However, Defi Land’s milestones are of different categories. There are many mind-blowing upcoming milestones in the Gamified Defi, Play-to-Earn, adventure, and multiplayer categories as seen in the documentation.
