Martial Wallet is a crypto wallet that can be used to manage digital assets and access decentralized applications on the Aptos blockchain.
The wallet works by making and overseeing private keys on behalf of its users. These keys can then be used within the Martian wallet to store Aptos blockchain-based assets and sign transactions.
Presently, Martian wallet is only available as a browser extension. Here’s a step-by-step process on how to install the martian wallet on the Brave browser but be rest assured the same process also applies to Chrome.
ONBOARDING PROCESS
STEP 1: Visit https://martianwallet.xyz/ and click ‘Download’ on the top right-hand corner of your screen.
STEP 2: It opens the chrome web store in a new tab. Click ‘Add to Brave’. The browser extension starts downloading right away.
STEP 3: Once the extension is done installing, it automatically pops up in another browser tab. For first-time users, select ‘Create a New Wallet’ and click ‘Continue’.
STEP 4: For the next step, you’re required to input your password. Make sure to input a strong password. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tick the box, and click ‘Continue’.
STEP 5: A 12-word recovery phrase will be shown, only unique to that wallet. Copy it to the clipboard and keep it safe. Click ‘Continue’.
N/B: You can access your wallet from any device with this phrase and anyone that has access to it has access to your wallet. So keep it private.
STEP 6: A shortcut to accessing your martain wallet is the combination of the three keyboard keys below.
For Windows users: Alt + Shift + X
For macOS users: Option + Shift + X
CONGRATULATIONS on setting up your martian wallet. Pin it to your browser extension tab for easy access. Click ‘Finish’.
ACCESSING MARTIAN WALLET
To access your martain wallet, use the shortcut keys stated above in the browser environment or find it among extensions. Input your password and unlock your wallet.
Like every other crypto wallet, the martain wallet is very simple to use and navigate through. Currently, users are testing the product. To receive testnet tokens, Click ‘Airdrop’ within the wallet environment. You will receive Aptos testnet tokens ($APT).
MINTING NFTS
There’s a dApp that functions dependently on the martian wallet that enables users to mint NFTs. Users can mint an NFT, without the need to create a collection or create a collection and mint numerous NFTs to that collection with the Simple and Advanced interface respectively.
